Grade Pre-k:

To assist in the learning and success of your son/daughter in school, you should:
Attend parent meetings. Help your child with materials given to you. You should also encourage your son/daughter to:

  • Attend school on a regular basis and be on time.
  • Be interested in school activities.
  • Get enough sleep each night.
  • Listen to stories and books that are read to him/her.

Grade k-6:

You should realize that your child’s years are very important. You should also understand that your participation in your child’s education will help his/her achievement and attitude. Therefore, you should carry out the following responsibilities to the best of your ability:

  • Give your child a quiet place to study.
  • Encourage your child to complete his/her homework.
  • Make sure your child gets enough sleep each night.
  • Make sure your child is at school on time.
  • Spend at least 15 minutes a day reading to/with your child.
  • Attend parent conferences.

Grades 1-6:

You should realize that your child’s years are very important. You should also understand that your participation in your child’s education will help his/her achievement and attitude. Therefore, you should carry out the following responsibilities to the best of your ability:

  • Give your child a quiet place to study.
  • Encourage your child to complete his/her homework.
  • Make sure your child gets enough sleep each night.

  • Make sure your child reads and writes on a daily basis.
  • Attend parent conferences.
